First Olympic Value Festival Evaluation

Primary School Event

To begin with, our sports diploma class had to plan out a sporting event at St Martins Garden Primary School, but each course had to be related to one of the ‘Olympic Values’. I was working with Alfie Banks, and our value was ‘Inspiration’. So on a Wednesday afternoon we had to plan a sporting exercise which relates to inspiration. We came up with the relay, as the relay is a perfect example of inspiration as it’s not all about winning, you will be encouraging your team mates to finish the exercise, this keeps the participants motivated and eager to finish.
On the day, everything went according to plan; I didn’t see not one child not showing inspiration, which was fantastic! Everyone completed the exercise and also leaving the course with a great big smile on their face. As a result, I think that all the children showed good inspiration through-out the event, and nothing couldn’t have got better.
In conclusion, nothing went wrong, plus inspiration was achieved on that day.
Here is a list of improvements which need s to be accomplished next time:
Ø  Quicker set-up time
Ø  Precisely 6 minutes on each exercise , do not run over or under time
Ø  When switching exercises one leader stay at the course , another leads the group to the next course.
